Boyne Ecology Park
Located within 5 minute walk from Drogheda town centre, this imagined ecological corridor opens up a forgotten space to both the public and nature within and around the River Boyne. A series of pathways were to be introduced in order to give better access to visitors along the steep and inhospitable banks. The Southbank is to be planted with a native woodland in order to increase stability for the embankments and also to encourage wildlife in habitat the waterway. these and additional soft engineering works along the bank are to increase both bio-diversity and public interaction with this unique riparian landscape.
Willow Outdoor School We were asked to conceptualise and design an outdoor pre-school. There is a mud kitchen, productive garden's raised beds and opportunities for cooking food around their open fire in the Circle Time space. The planting is primarily native, applying forest garden principles of layered planting structures. There is a strong emphasis on productive plants, for their food, scent, attraction to the precious bees.
